A Central Coast Practice with a Global Perspective

Based in San Luis Obispo, Cynthia serves clients throughout California and beyond, combining the responsiveness of a local practice with the technical and international experience needed in today’s marketplace.

Business-Savvy Legal Counsel for Innovators

Cynthia Replogle is an attorney and engineer who helps businesses protect their ideas, strengthen their contracts, and manage legal risk with confidence. Her dual background — in aerospace engineering and law — gives her a rare ability to connect technical precision with practical legal judgment.

From Engineering to In-House Counsel

Before founding her own practice, Cynthia served as Intellectual Property Attorney and General Counsel at iFixit, a San Luis Obispo–based manufacturer and technology company known for its right-to-repair advocacy. At iFixit she managed the company’s global intellectual-property portfolio, prosecuted trademarks and design and utility patents, defended marks before the USPTO’s Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, and led compliance efforts under GDPR and CCPA. She also drafted and negotiated vendor, service and licensing agreements, guided product development teams, and trained staff on IP and data-protection best practices.

This hands-on experience inside a growing business gave her a deep understanding of how legal decisions affect design, manufacturing, marketing, and customer trust. That insight now shapes her work as outside counsel — helping clients anticipate risks, allocate resources wisely, and turn legal strategy into business advantage.
